What is the purpose of the course?
This course of ISRO is specially designed for teachers so that they can understand the nuances of space science and technology and can reach it to their students. In this course you will get fun and useful information about space missions, satellites and their techniques. You should be from any board (CBSE, ICSE, State Board), this course is completely free for you.
Who can apply?
If you teach children from 9th to 12th grade, you can apply for this course. The last date of application is 6 June 2025. This date can apply online. This course will run from 9 June to 13 June 2025. The course is completely online, that is, you can join it sitting at home.
What will you get to learn in the course?
In this course, you will be taught many interesting things in the world of space such as space technology and Indian Space Mission. Chandrayan, Missions like Mangalayaan and technology behind them.
Satellite Communication and Navigation: How satellites work and how to make our life easier.
Satellite imagery and data:How the information about weather, environment and geography is extracted from satellite photographs.
Use of GIS: Ways to solve problems with geological information system (GIS).
Human Space Flight Mission: Interesting facts about projects like Gaganyaan.
All this will be explained in easy language by ISRO experts, so that the teachers can teach it to their students in a fun way.
Where and how the course will be?
This course will be held on the e-learning platform of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). It has been prepared by the Capacity Building Program Office (CBPO) of ISRO. All you need is an internet connection and a device (laptop, phone or tablet). The course will have lecture, video and interactive sessions, which will make it more fun.
