Gopalganj If you play football or are fond of watching football matches, then this is good news for you. A big football tournament is taking place in Gopalganj district in which teams from India and abroad are participating.
All India football competition organized
The Korean of Bhore Block in the sports ground. Bacha Rai Upendra Rai All India Football Competition is being organized. Apart from Siwan of Bihar, Gorakhpur in UP, Asansol in West Bengal and Nepal, dozens of teams from India and abroad are participating. Foreign players are also seen in football teams from many states of India.
Final will be held on 23 March
The tournament started on 17 March and its final will be held on 23 March. So far, three quarter -final matches have been played and thousands of spectators are reaching to watch the game in every match.
Asansol reached the semi -finals after defeating Nepal
On March 19, in the third quarter -final match, there was a match between Nepal and Asansol. In this tough match, Asansol’s team defeated Nepal 2–0 to make it to the semi-finals.
Nepal had to face defeat 2-0
Asansol’s team was the attacker from the beginning of the game. Nepal players also performed well. Till the time, the two teams continued to attack each other, but no one could score goals. In the 61st minute of the game after the time, Asansol player Saddam Khan scored the first goal from the corner to make the score 1-0. After this, Nepal also tried to score goals, but could not succeed. In the 73rd minute of the game, Asansol player show Man scored the second goal to make the score 2-0. Nepal made several attempts, but eventually suffered a 2–0 defeat.
Gorakhpur lost in second quarterfinals
On March 18, the second quarter -final match was played between Gorakhpur and Chakradharpur. Chakradharpur’s team defeated Gorakhpur 4-2 and made it to the semi-finals.
Sulal Topno gave the lead to Chakradharpur
Both teams came into the fray with foreign players. In the second minute of the game, the striker of Chakradharpur Sulal Topno scored the first goal to give his team a 1-0 lead. In the 33rd minute of the game, Gorakhpur foreign player Jack was shown a red card due to the wrong game, causing the tension in the match and the game stopped for about five minutes. In the 39th minute of the game, Chakradharpur player Dobo scored the second goal, causing the score to 2-0 by the interval. After the time, Chakradharpur player Sulal Topno scored the third and his second goal for the team. Gorakhpur was playing with 10 players, which affected their game. Despite many efforts, Gorakhpur suffered a 3–0 defeat.
