Delhi school: 6 years of age compulsory for admission in Delhi schools, this condition will also have to be fulfilled before admission

Along with this, the school education system has also been arranged afresh. Now children will have to take a three-year pre-primary education before entering school.

New age limit for admission in Delhi school

Nursery at the age of 3 (Bal Vatika/Pre-School 1)

LKG (Bal Vatika/Pre-School 2) at the age of 4 years

UKG (Bal Vatika/Pre-School 3) at the age of 5)

And will be admitted in class 1 only after completing the age of 6 years.

National Education Policy 2020 has changed the old 10+2 system to 5+3+3+4 structure. Under this, education is divided into four stages – Foundational, Preparatory, Middle and Secondary Stage.

The Directorate of Education has ordered all government, aided and private recognized schools to implement this change. Also, suggestions have been sought from parents, teachers, experts and common people to improve this policy.
