The team consists of 10 men and nine women. The Indian Boxing Federation (BFI), run by the Interim Committee, gave a chance to the silver medalists of this year’s male and female national championship as per its selection criteria. Ajay Singh, chairman of the Interim Committee Ajay Singh said, “Thailand Open is the beginning of a busy international calendar which includes the World Championship in Liverpool after the World Cup phase tournament in Kazakhstan, the World Cup final in New Delhi and the Asian Championships including many major tournaments.”
