Important dates to apply for CSIR UGC NET June 2025

Application starts: June 3, 2025
Last date of application: 23 June, 2025
Last date of fee payment: June 24, 2025 (until 11:59 pm)
Date of Reform Window Open: 25 and 26 June, 2025 (until 11:59 pm)
Exam Date: 26, 27 and 28 July, 2025

This examination conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is of national level, which NTA conducts. It aims to select qualified candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lecturership/Assistant Professor (LS/AP) in India. CSIR NET is valid for subjects related to science and technology faculty only.

Eligibility Criteria for CSIR UGC NET

Maximum age limit for JRF: 30 years (by first date of July 2025)
For Lecturership / Assistant Professor: No upper age limit
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in a subject related to recognized university Or should the equivalent degree (at least 55% marks).

CSIR UGC NET 2025 Exam Format

There will be a separate paper for each subject.
Questions will be in MCQ format
The exam will be conducted in computer based (CBT) mode.
