B.Ed College News: NCTE has canceled the recognition of 380 B.Ed colleges of four states including Madhya Pradesh for 2025-26. 11 colleges including Shri Sainath College, Bhoj University of Bhopal have been affected.

B.ed college news: The Western Regional Committee of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has taken a big decision for session 2025-26. The council has canceled the recognition of a total of 380 B.Ed colleges in four states including Madhya Pradesh. This action has been taken on those institutions, which could not submit the performance appraisal report (PAR) to be submitted every year.
11 B.Ed colleges of Madhya Pradesh affected
This list includes 11 colleges in Madhya Pradesh. According to media reports, the recognition of three colleges in the capital Bhopal has been abolished, including Sri Sainath College, Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University and another private institutions.
Destance B.Ed course of Bhoj University also closed
Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University used to give admission in B.Ed distance courses every year. But now this program will also be closed from session 2025-26, because NCTE has also abolished its recognition.
College of Gwalior, Rewa, Satna and Sagar also in the list
The following are the following colleges to be canceled in other districts.
Gwalior: Rishikul Group of B.Ed. College
Rewa: College of Farida Education Society (affiliated to Awadhesh Pratap Singh University)
Satna: Neeranchalam Education College and Swami Narayan Das Education College
Sagar: Pandit BD Memorial B.Ed. College, Dronacharya Academy and Pandit Memorial B.Ed. College
There may be more actions in future
This action of NCTE gives a clear message that teacher education institutions will have to maintain quality and transparency. The recognition of the institutions which do not follow the rules can be canceled.
