On June 1, the lander of Chang’i 6 mission landed in the Apollo Crater of the Moon’s huge southern pole-Atcon Basin (Aitken Basin). According to Spacedotcom, the lander used scoop and drill to collect about 4.4 pounds (2 kg) samples. The material returned to the earth was put in the capsule returning to the earth and reached the moon’s orbit with the help of a small rocket on the moon and then landed on the earth.
According to the US space agency NASA, the Chinese capsules started moving towards the Earth around 21 June. After their arrival on their safe earth, this moon mission of China has been completed with success.
Samples have also brought Soviet Union and USA, then how is it different?
Chang’e 6 Mission is not the first mission to come to earth with a sample from the moon. The Soviet Union and the USA have done this work before. How is China’s mission different again? In fact, the part of the Moon by the US and the Soviet Union, which samples samples, are always focused towards the earth. For the first time, a country has collected samples from that part of the moon, which is never visible from the earth.
