CBSE Supplementary Exams: When will the exam be done?
CBSE has told that the 10th compartment exam will start from 15 July 2025 and will run for several days, while the 12th compartment examination will be held on 15 July 2025 only in a day. This means that the 12th people will have to give their subjects papers in a single day. If the time table will soon be released on the official website of CBSE cbse.gov.in, then keep an eye on it.
CBSE Exams: When and how to fill the form?
Start of Form filling: 30 May 2025
Last date: You can fill the form without late fees by 17 June 2025.
With late fees: If the form is unable to fill the form till 17 June, then you can submit the form with late fees from 18 June to 19 June 2025.
How to fill the form?
Regular students: If you are studying from school, then only your form will submit the school. Contact your school.
Private Students: If you are a private candidate, then you can fill the online form by visiting CBSE’s website cbse.gov.in. Before filling the form, read the guidelines on the website well, so that there is no mistake.
How much fee will be paid?
For students of India: Rs 300 for every subject.
For students outside India: 1000 rupees for every subject.
For students of Nepal: 1000 rupees for every subject.
Late fee: If you fill the form on June 18-19, then every subject will have to pay a late fee of Rs 2000. Fill the form on time, so that you can avoid late fees. All the fees will be deposited through online payment, then keep your payment mode (eg UPI, card) ready.
Who can give compartment exam?
If you are not able to pass some subjects in the CBSE board examination of 2024-25, then you can give a compartment exam. Students who are not able to pass the compartment exam in the first or second occasion in 2023-24, can apply as a private candidate for the third occasion.
Why is a compartment exam necessary?
Compartment exam is a golden opportunity for you. If you are not able to pass one or two subjects, then through this exam you can improve your marksheet. On passing, you will get your class certificate and you can continue studying in the next class or can enroll in college.

Check immediately: Forms will start filling from 30 May 2025. Go to your school or cbse.gov.in and see the details.
Look at the time table: If the schedule of the exam is released soon, then keep checking the website.
Start preparing: July 15 is not far away. From now on, start studying the subjects in which you need a chance again.
Keep documents ready: While filling the form, keep the registration number, roll number and other details ready.
Avoid late fees: Fill the form by June 17, so that you do not have to pay a late fee of Rs 2000.

Millions of students will benefit
Millions of students of class 10th and 12th took part in the CBSE board results of 2025. A total of 23,71,939 students gave the exam in the 10th standard, out of which 22,21,636 passed. The pass percentage of this examination was 93.66%. This means about 1,50,303 students could not pass. Similarly, 16,92,794 students gave the exam in 12th standard, out of which 14,96,307 passed. Passed percentage was 88.39%. Accordingly, about 1,96,487 students could not pass in 12th standard. Now students who fail can improve their results by giving compartment exams.
