In May 2025, Hyundai recorded a setback in sales, both year on year (Yoy) and month on month (mother). The company has sold 43,861 units, which represents an 11% drop compared to the 49,151 units sold in May 2024. Furthermore, this figure also marked a drop of 1% compared to unitary sales of 44,374 April 2025.
Hyundai Crete and Crete EV at n. 1
Hyundai Crete and its EV counterpart were at number 1 on the sales list. Crete sales showed a 1% growth on an annual basis at 14,860 units, an increase of 14,662 sales of unit of May 2024. However, it decreased by 13% of mom from 17,016 unitary sales of April 2025. It was followed by a seat that saw a significant decline in the performance of Yoy and Moms. Sales dropped to 7,520 units, down by 19% from the sales of units of 9,327 of May 2024. It also decreased by 5% compared to 7,953 units sold in April 2025.
Hyundai EXTER saw an improvement in the mother of 9% in 5,899 sales of 5,416 units sold in April 2025, while its annual performance decreased by 23%. Positive sales were reported for the Hyundai Aura sedan to 5,225 units. This refers to the growth of Yoy and Mom double -digit of 18% and 24% respectively.
There was a 18% drop in Yoy sales for Nio i10. Sales have stood at 4,344 units in the last month, falling compared to the sales of units of 5,328 in the same month last year. Mom’s sales improved by 5% from 4,137 units sold in April 2025. I20 sales have undergone a 21% drop on an annual basis at 4,090 units in May 2025. There were 5,169 sales of unity in the same month last year. However, he witnessed a remarkable 16% improvement on a mother from 3,525 sales of April 2025 units.
Sales decrease in Verna, Alcazar, Tucson and Ioniq 5
Four of the models on the company wallet that have not been much to the limelight are Verna, Alcazar, Tucson and Ioniq 5. Each of these models has undergone a decline in sales both Yoy and mom. Verna sales were 930 units, down 33% on an annual basis and 7% of mom. Sales were expected to 1,381 units in May 2024, while in April 2025 there were 1,005 units sold. Hyundai Alcazar followed a similar trend. Sales decreased to 922 units in May 2025, down for sales of units of 944 of May 2024. It was also a 9% de-Crescita from 1,017 units sold in April 2025.
Tucson’s sales increased by 64% on an annual basis and 8% of mom in just 60 units. There were 168 sales of units in May 2024 while the April 2025 count was 65 units. Ioniq 5 sales have also decreased to 11 units in the last month. It was A74% Yoy and 31% of Mom Degrowth 42 units and 16 units sold respectively in May 2024 and April 2025.
