BPSC Special Teacher Vacancy: There is great news for the youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has recruited 7279 teachers in special schools of the state. The notification for this has been issued on 19 June 2025. These appointments will be made for primary and upper primary classes in special schools of the state. The special thing is that all these appointments are for teachers of Special Education.

It is the biggest direct recruitment of Bihar in the field of special education. The golden opportunity to teach children with thousands of special needs of the state will now get those teachers who have professional degrees and training in this field. If you are also eligible, then apply without waiting for the last date of application. Such an opportunity is not found again and again.

Special teacher’s vacancy details

A total of 7279 vacancies will be filled under this recruitment campaign. In this, 5534 posts for classes 1 to 5 and 1745 posts for classes 6 to 8 have been set. That is, both primary and upper primary levels will appoint qualified teachers of special education.

How long can you apply?

The application process will start from 2 July 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till 28 July 2025. The application can only be made through BPSC’s official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

What will be the application fee?

For just one paper (paper i or ii):

  • General/BC/OBC/EWS: ₹ 960
  • SC/ST/PWD: ₹ 760

For both papers:

  • General/BC/OBC/EWS: ₹ 1440
  • SC/ST/PWD: ₹ 1140
  • What is eligibility for special teacher recruitment?

    For class 1-5:

    Minimum 50% marks in Senior Secondary (12th)

    Diploma in Special Education (D.EL.ED or equivalent)

    RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) recognized CRR number required

    For class 6-8:

    Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

    B.Ed or equivalent diploma in special education

    CRR number from RCI

    At least 6 months special education experience

    What will be the selection process?

    Candidates will be selected through Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET). In this, objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ) will be asked. There will be a total of 150 questions in the examination, which will get 2 hours 30 minutes to solve. The good thing is that there will be no negative marking in the exam.
