Great your water is convenient, save space and is by far the most ecological option, compared to stacking sparkling bottles of bottles in your refrigerator. But it is probably not cheaper. Apart from the initial cost of the machine, you will have to continue reinstatement co2 containers. These can run anywhere from $ 20 to $ 30 for a 60 liter container, depending on the brand, which is added, so you are not necessarily saving money. Note that “60 liters” refers to the theoretical quantity of soda that you would do with each container. If you are a zealous carbonino who likes Fiszzy, this could be more similar to 30 liters.
Some brands also have recycling programs in which you send the empty container and replace it with a full one so as not to delete the metal containers. These recycling programs have been included in my tests.
Carbonators are a relatively simple technology. Generally, gadgets only need a co2 source and a means of pumping the gas into a little water. But several manufacturers have different skills to instill carbon dioxide in water and to keep it there.
For consistency in the evaluation of the best producers of soda, I and the taxive auditor Andrew Watman tested every manufacturer with filtered water made with the Zero water filterAnd maintained at the refrigerator temperature, testing the fizz not only at the time of carbonation, but also after two hours and the next day to see how the bubbles resisted. For manufacturers who could coal more than water, I tested wine, juice and soda. And for the manufacturers with filtration, I obviously tested with uns filic water and I used chemical indicators to backup the filtration requests.
I evaluated every manufacturer of soda water for ease of use, quality of the bubbles, duration of carbonation in the container provided, ease to exchange co2 Cartridges and simple intangible: do I like my soda manufacturer? We will spend so much time together: it is a shame not to love it.

Breville Fusion Fusion for $ 250: Like the Omnifizz drink companion, Fusion Breville Firus allows you to instill any liquid you want with carbon dioxide. It also has a much more resistant construction than our best omnifizz choice and the reviewer that contributes Andrew Watman has noticed the beautiful heels on the carbonation button and the attractive metal metal colors. But he also found the “melting hood” of the device a little difficult to use, which requires a little finagling every time to drop the bottle in the machine and get the hood correctly. These small frustrations have kept the device out of our best choices.

Smeg Soda Maker for $ 200: There is a lot to appreciate on this creator of Soda Smeg. In a world of utlitary or plastichi charcoalizers, Smeg is the only producer of soda not called “Aarke” who could plausibly call sexy, defined with an intelligent control of the integrated knob imperceptibly in its elegant form. The auditor who contributes in the United Kingdom Chris Haslam loved him (8/10, Wired Recommended), but there are some problems. It is the only soda manufacturer that I tested that it is not supplied with a container to start, Smeg does not perform a system of exchange of cylinders in the United States (you will have to use Sodreream), the instructions are exasperating and scattered and the adaptation of the Tritan bottle to the machine is a little extravagant. If you are a professional of soda and exchange the containers, and you want one who looks more beautiful on your work surface, this could be for you. But it’s a fun place to start.

Aarke Carbound III for $ 229: The metal and thin Aarke is elegant, perhaps even sexy, the reviewer that contributes Andrew Watman. This can be a sufficient reason to love him and invite him to live on your work plan and, unlike many, is a touch system. But the bubbles are finest and weaker than other participants, Watman observed, and you have to turn the car to screw the container. Nice if you like delicate bubbles.

Aarke Carbound Pro for $ 350: The “Pro” is a carbonator 3 update model, but with adorable glass bottles instead of plastic. This is all cute enough, but it is provided with a little price increase.

Spritzer drinks for $ 80: The portable version of the Omnifizz drink partner, in the shape of a bit like a nail gun, offers many of the same wonderful sparkling skills as homifizz, but in a smaller and more portable package. So what not to love? It’s a little more Jankier. The Fizz Infuser mechanism clings awkwardly forward and backwards, with great difficulty, making you feel in danger of breaking plastic. And at a certain point, the carbonation trigger remained jammed in a “on” position and sautéed the carbonation in empty air until I removed the co2 Direct tank. This was a mistake that I was unable to replicate, but it made me forever defamed.
