

With the Honda Activa 3G of my brother 2015, lengthening in the tooth, the search for a new scooter began. Since XOOM 125 is a scooter of great and weighed over 120 kg, we have aimed at a hero XOOM 110. At the time of purchase, there were some factors that led us to move on to XOOM 125, which is a much better product and is probably the most premium VFM for sale in India. We go to detail and see what it is.
Hero Xoom 125 – VFM quotient
My brother’s first choice was once again a Honda Active. Since we already have a 3G Honda Active and a TVS Jupiter 125 in the family, I suggested watching Yamaha Fasino, Rayzr, Hero Destini 125, Xoom 110 and Xoom 125. However, in level 2 cities, the purchase decisions often depend on the availability of actions to the respective concession.



For some reason, the Yamaha dealership had only made up of high -level disc brake variants, which were at the top of the price scale. The heroi dealership in my city had only one XOOM 110 ZX Orange Orange Orange (RS 1.13 Lakh), one XOOM 125 VX Metallic Turbo Blue (RS 1.15 Lakh) and a Xoom 110 combat edition (RS 1.15 Lakh) in a nearby position (all OTR prices, Karnataka State).



As regards prices, Xoom 110 and Xoom 125 by Hero Mototocorp are absolute winners when the Activa 110 basic STD variant (RS 1.13 Lakh) and the variant of the basic drum Jupiter 110 (RS 1.14 Lakh) emerged quite expensive (all OTR prices, Karnataka State). Above all, considering that both of these variants came with steel wheels, drum brakes, halogen lighting and clusters of analogue tools of the past era and without off -road vehicles and whistles that Hero offers at the same price.



At the price of RS 1.13 Lakh (OTR, Karnataka), Hero offers LED projector headlights, LED tail lights, (even if expedient) LED curvature lights, LED start light, USB charging door, fully digital tools with bluetooth connectivity, double tone in alleviar with disc brakes with the Callipers and more. If you opt for the VX variant of XOOM 110, it is VFM Pro Max as Costa RS 1.05 Lakh (OTR Karnataka) only, but was not sadly available in my city.



125 Over 110
During the purchase, we noticed that the orange color Abrax on the rear grip rail was significantly different from the panels of the side body. He scored me and my brother enough to discard him. So, the decision passed to XOOM 110 Combat Edition (RS 1.15 Lakh Otr Karnataka) who were organizing from a close position. In the meantime, I asked my brother to ignore the weight of the 120 kg sidewalk and to try xoom 125 and compare it with XOOM 110 in the real world.



He did this and concluded XOOM 125 does not feel cumbersome in real life and is quite manageable. In addition, Xoom 110 was missing from filling for external fuel and integrated start release such as XOOM 125. For us, the basic VX variant was sufficient and we did not need the high -level ZX variant.
I had experienced XOOM 125 at the National Media Drive in Delhi and I returned rather affected. The 125cc engine on this scooter debuted for the first time to 125 destinies that I lived last year at the National Media Drive in Goa. These 14-inch wheels unlock a new level of driving, handling and Rough-Doad’s ability that 12 and 10 inches scooters can never match in a million years.



It is quite commendable that Hero Motocorp offers the Basic VX variant of XOOM 125 at the same price as the 110 cc base variants from rival brands and still offers features such as 14 -inch alloy wheels, LEDs, LED seat, plus LED seat.
Purchase and experience of the showroom
As a product, Hero Xoom 125 is quite good and the prices and equipment are clear. But what is holding him in reaching a revolution in sales is the experience of the showroom. In April 2025, Honda sold 1.94,787 Active and 20,555 Dios, TVS sold 1.02.588 Jupiters and 25,383 Ntorqs and in the same month, Hero sold just 3,643 scooters XOOM. This is a premium scooter, sporty and aspiration that deserves to be sold via showroom awards to make any significant difference.



1. The dealership was maintaining only a unit of XOOM 110 and XOOM 125 only for the good of the variety. It would take a month to get the desired color and variant.
2. The sales representatives were not well informed of these scooters and did not know specifications and functionality. A representative continued to call XOOM 110 as “Xoom” and Xoom 125 as “Xoom XTEC”.
3. I had to request 5 times to break down xoom 125 from the platform and put it next to Xoom 110 and did it only after I irritated a little. Treating customers to have no knowledge of the Two Wheeler is not the right strategy to push sales.
4. The showroom had no accessories of this XOOM 125, with the exception of Orvms. Service people tried to install an accessory for the side steps, but did not succeed after losing 1.5 hours of my time.
5. The service is my greatest fear as the service center has been invaded by an ocean of splendors and HF models. According to a faculty of service, they were not trained to operate on scooters, which was worrying.
6. When he was asked for an accessory “Glove Box Mobile Charger” who is listed on the Hero website, the shop manager said he was busy looking for his part number. He asked me to look for and give him the number of part and then he will carry out an order.
7. Although Activa is the best -selling scooter in India by a long shot, Honda offers a monetary discount of 4,000 RS. Tvs offers a discount of 2,000 RS on Jupiter. The discounts and incentives to push Hero’s Xoom Scooter sales were zero.
8. My brother and I have not expected or we offered theatricals or confetti or a giant key for photographic opportunities. But I can see how many potential buyers would like this experience as this is a premium, sports and aspirational scooter of 125cc.



Most of these deficiencies would disappear if Hero sold xoom 125 through their premium premium showrooms. A sports scooter, premium and aspiration as XOOM 125 deserves more sales and selling them through premium dealers would offer potential customers an experience they deserve. In addition, this could be a high volume offer also for premium retailers. At present, Hero Xoom 125 is sold through their Legacy dealers who are extremely comfortable in selling only the splendors and HF.
