Bajaj Freedom CNG CUT of the motorcycle price – Sales Key

While the basic variant (drum) has become more accessible, the Drum LED variants and disc led continue with previous prices

Bajaj had introduced the first double -fuel methane bike in the world, Freedom 125 NG04, in July 2024. The bike was positioned as a turning point, offering the convenience of double fuel (CNG + petrol) and savings on fuel costs up to 50%. To increase sales, Bajaj has now reduced the price of the basic variant. We check the details and new prices.

Bajaj Freedom CNG Motorcycle – New price

The basic variant “NG04 Drum” obtains a discount of 5,000 RS. From RS 90.976 previously, the price dropped to RS 85,976 with the discount offer. There are no updates or downgrades to the basic model. The prices of the average and higher variants remain unchanged respectively at RS 95.981 and RS 1.10.976.

The bike power is a 125 cc engine that generates 9.5 HP and 9.7 Nm of peak torque. The basic variant NG04 DRUM has an halogen projector, compared to the other two variants that have LED projector. Bajaj Freedom CNG has front and 16 -inch 17 -inch rear wheels. The tires are 80/90 front and 80/100 in the rear with the basic variant.

The other two variants have front tires 90/80 and 120/70. The basic variant has a 130 mm drum brake in the front and a 110 mm drum brake in the rear. The Mid ‘NG04 Drum Led’ variant has 130 mm battery brakes to both ends. The upper variant ‘NG04 Disc LED’ has a 240 mm disc brake in the front and 130 mm drum brake on the back. All variants have a CBS braking configuration.

While the basic variants and MID have a small LCD without connectivity, the upper variant is offered with a complete LCD inverted with connectivity. The basic variant has a sheet of sheets in sheet metal, compared to the plastic metal belly pan + in steel used with the mid and superior variants. The basic variant also loses the tank coverage flap offered with the Mid and higher variants.

Bajaj Freedom CNG sales report

During the eleven months from the launch in July 2024, Bajaj Freedom sold a total of 76,760 units. This is an average of 6,978 units sold every month. Since Bajaj Freedom 125 is the only double fuel bike in the country, it has the advantage of first move. Being a unique offer, the bike had generated a significant interest between potential buyers and enthusiasts. During the 2024 festive season, Bajaj Freedom CNG sales had reached the peak of 30,051 units in October.

However, monthly sales have been relatively less in 2025. There may be more factors at stake. For example, sales could be influenced in regions that have limited availability of methane fuel stations. The data reveal that about 60% of Bajaj Freedom CNG sales come from states such as Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. These are among the states with the highest density of the methane fuel stations.

Bajaj Freedom CNG sales could also be influenced due to the phenomenal ascent of low -cost electric scooters. These are not only cheaper than the methane for freedom, but also have fewer costs per kilometer. The infrastructure charging has constantly improved, which is another factor that is encouraging people to move on to electric vehicles.

Bajaj himself has seen a spectacular success with Cherk, who is now the second best -selling electric scooter in the country. In May 2025, Chetok was presented in the Top 10, with sales of 25,540 units and market share of 4.65%. It remains to be seen if the cutting of prices for the basic variant of Bajaj Freedom CNG offers a significant modification to the sales numbers.
