AXIOM-4 Mission With Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla to Tomorrow Reach on ISS, NASA, ISRO, Spacex

The Axiom-4 mission has been launched on Wednesday after a few weeks of delay. Its crew also includes Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla. Shukla is handling the responsibility of this mission as a pilot. Apart from this, the crew consists of America’s peggy whitson, Poland’s Slawosz Uznanski Wisniewski and Hungary’s Tibor Kapu. Along with these astronauts, a Swain Toy called Joy has also been sent as his indicator of zero gravity. The American Space Agency NASA has reported that the mission is to arrive at the International Space Station (ISS) at around 4.30 pm on Thursday (26 June). The AXIOM-4 mission will take about 29 hours to do the ISS about 400 km above the earth. The dragon spacecraft of Spacex located on Falcon 9 rocket will initially reach an orbit below ISS. This spacecraft will have to make changes in its way and height for docking (connecting) with ISS. This process is not easy because ISS is circling at a speed of around 28,000 km/h.

ISS is moving around the earth very fast and it takes about 90 minutes to complete an orbital cycle. The dragon spacecraft will have to synchronize its path of the orbit with the current position of ISS. For this, this spacecraft will roam around the earth at least twice while changing its speed and path. This process is important for accurate and safe docking with ISS. PEGY WHITSON is responsible for the Mission Commander in Axiom-4. Apart from the Indian Space Agency ISRO, Shukla has also trained abroad for this mission.

India’s first astronaut Rakesh Sharma made history by reaching space in 1984. Axiom-4 mission crew members will do several experiments on ISS. Seven of these experiments will be led by Shukla. There is a participation of 31 countries in this mission, the NASA and the American Space Infrastructure Developer Axiom Space made strict preparations to bring this mission to ISS with security. For this, the launch of the mission was also postponed several times.
