On this occasion, 252 cadets received commission in flight, technical, non-technical departments as Air Force Officer.
What happened in a passing out parade?
The main attraction of the passing out parade was the ‘appointment ceremony’. In this ceremony, the review officer appointed graduate cadets as a flying officer. The Commandant of the Academy administered the oath to the graduate officers and resolved to protect the sovereignty and honor of the country. On this occasion, Indian Air Force President AP Singh congratulated and said that ‘When you decided to serve the nation, you chose a career that not only expects more than you, but also the most respectable’.

He further said that as we look at the future, two things are certain – the rapidly changing form of war and the increasing relevance of aerospace power. Operation Sindoor is a great example of the unmatched professional capacity of the Indian Air Force. We demonstrated our ability to accurately and decisive on the enemy. As the future of the Air Force, you should understand that the Indian Air Force has always been the first to respond and will continue to react.
