The scene of doorstep delivery may soon change completely. Amazon is now working on humanoid robots that will “jump” directly from the delivery van and take the package to the user’s door. This robot testing is currently running in San Francisco, USA, where he is being trained in a special place called ‘Humanoid Park’. The company says that these robots will be integrated with Amazon’s Rivian electric van and are currently being seen as an experiment. However, this experiment indicates that delivery jobs can go completely towards automation in future.Amazon is currently using humanoid robots named Unitree G1, priced at around $ 16,000 (about 13 lakh rupees). The Guardian Report It is said that these robots are capable of movement like humans with two legs and two hands. They have been specially programmed in such a way that they can get off the van and pick up the package without human help and deliver it to the customers. These robots are also being tested in places where there are obstacles, so that they can take delivery training in real world conditions.

The report further states that Amazon has also cleared about this testing that this technology is currently in the pilot phase and this will not immediately affect the job of existing drivers. According to the company, human drivers will operate the delivery van until the robots are fully capable.

The focus of the company is no longer limited to warehouse automation. Earlier, where Amazon used Humanoid robots as a trial in the warehouse, the same technology is also being brought in the last mile delivery. This is part of the long-term strategy of reducing costs and increasing speed in Amazon’s logistics.

Currently Amazon allegedly has about 2.75 million delivery drivers in the US and globally this number is more than 1.5 million. In such a situation, if it is a humanoid technology scale, then there can be a big change in the delivery industry in the coming time.<!–
