Ahmedabad plane crash: Air India flight crashed from Ahmedabad Airport in Gujarat to London. The accident happened five minutes after flying. Air India plane Boeing Dreamliner fell on a hostel at 787-8 BJ Medical College and Civil Hospital. According to reports, many trainee doctors have also died tragically in it.

One of the oldest medical colleges in the country

The BJ Medical College of Ahmedabad is one of the oldest medical colleges in the country. It was established in 1871 as Ahmedabad Medical School. There were a total of 14 students in the first batch of this college. After this, in the year 1879, Sir Bireramji Jeejibhoy donated Rs 20,000 to the college. After which the name of the college was changed to BJ Medical College.

BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad offers many courses of UG, PG and Diploma. Which are as follows-

MBBS Course: According to the college website, MBBS courses have a total of 250 seats. The college has no seat for NRI.

PG Course- This Medical College offers MD and MS course in Medical PG program.

diploma course- This college offers DM/MCH in neuro surgery, urology, pediatric surgery etc.
