More accessories to consider
All of us at Wired we have complicated desk configurations that make work from home easier. You don’t have to go so hard for a dormitory room and you probably still have so much space to save. Look at our complete guide from home work for further options, but these are some of our favorite desk accessories that is worth considering, in addition to other options for your whole dormitory.

Aecooly Chic Touch Control Desk Fan for $ 25: I tested this little Cordless fan throughout the summer for our best fans’ guide, and my friend’s son has just brought him to school for his first year at the University of Colorado. It will be hot for the week in motion and this fan is not only powerful, its 8-inch tall body adapts to a suitcase, is rechargeable USB-C and is quite silent (36 decibels in bass) which will not bother or interfere with the study. —Kat Merck
Benq Screenbar computer LED lamp for $ 109: The wired publisher Julian Chokkattu swears this desk lamp, which only works if you have an external monitor on the desk. He blocks the screen and illuminates your work space. Above all, it occupies zero space on your desk!
Single -larch desk clasper monoprice for $ 25: This mat is soft and doubles like a mouse if you intend to add a separate keyboard and mouse.
Ikea Skubb Underbed Case for $ 10: When the former Wired Reviewer Medea Giordano lived in a small prison cell in New York (er, apartment), he reported four of these containers under the bed to contain every object of clothing that his wardrobe could not host. College beds have ample space below, and these can contain out of season clothes, shoes or anything else you need, like festive supplies. Amazon has a Deck of options as well.
Laundry bag with Dalykate backpack for $ 17: It may be necessary to make an excursion to the linen for some flights to the laundry. This basket has a pocket to contain the cleansing straps and portability backpack, and it is not voluminous as a basket for laundry. This is what Julian Chokkattatt’s wired editor used to go to his laundry.
CROCS Classic Zoccoli for $ 50: You need a pair of shower shoes. Trust me when I say that you don’t want to take care of the athlete’s foot in a college dormitory. These are my favorite shows for shared showers: they are quite easy to enter, easy to slide out when you are balanced on one leg to wash your feet and also dry quickly. Alternatively, you could go with a dedicated couple of flip flops or slides. You may also want to bring some extra bath towels. Don’t forget a shower trolley for your toiletries!
LED light strip rule RGBIC for $ 44: The lights of the ropes are nice, but they are not very funny. The furniture of the room is largely subjective, but we really like this light strip of governments. You can easily adjust the colors and brightness using the smartphone app and you can cut the lights to adapt to space.
Basic cleaning supplies: I didn’t realize how many things I was forgetting when I moved for the first time to a dormitory. Make sure to remember essential elements for the home like Laundry detergent, paper towels, dishes soap, disinfectant wipesAND Washcloths. You could also want a little BROM and DUSTPAN.
