Subway has opened 33 new stores in 17 cities in India in the first quarter of the fiscal year, bringing the total count of the shops to the country to over 900, the company said in a press release on Tuesday.
The company had added 15 new stores in the previous quarter and plans to cross 100 openings of stores by the end of the tax year.
The expansion includes the entry into new level 2 and 3 cities, as part of the broader growth strategy of the brand in India, a market that continues to priority to long -term investments and partnerships.
India remains one of the rapid growth markets for the subway globally. The company focused on the innovation of the product in line with the preferences of the consumer in evolution.
